After successfully grabbing the boat, thanks to some creative uses of the good folks at 911, they attempt to drop it at said repair shop....
Thanks to Big Sam’s considerable talent for exaggeration, his lady friends, and everyone they know, are under the impression that he’s some kind of superhero/Robin Hood type, and consider him the go to guy when they have a situation. Which is exactly how ex-spy Michael Weston ends up involved in a kidnap plot. At the wheel of a brand new Cadillac, Sam couldn’t really say no when his latest lady friend and provider of said vehicle, asks him for a favour… It seems Nick, a resident on a very exclusive Miami island, has a problem....

While Beckett is the first to throw out any supernatural Ghostbusters type activity, after meeting with the old principal (and Castle’s former nemesis) the crime-fighting duo are scratching their heads on what this could be. But after seeing a damning video that the principal shows them proves that student Jordan Gibbs has got some serious Carrie-like powers allowing her to move things at will the madder she gets. While mean girl Madison is being mourned by peers and staff, it becomes clear that there is something wrong with this young snob’s death....
The usual opening setup has a random car dropping off a grossly disfigured woman, bloodied with what looks like claw marks. Primate sanctuary worker Anne Cardinal is the victim this week and the evidence is pointing to one of the animals she worked with in the ape haven. The animals at the preserve were at one point in show business. Now, they live out their golden years in the sanctuary....
In the opening, we find commodities broker Peter Cordero shot through the heart with a slug and a mystery woman looming over him in his apartment. The lack of any evidence has Castle and company grasping at straws at just what the heck happened. Enter two black hats from the U.S. Attorney’s Office that shed some light on just who Cordero was in life. Oh and the attorney is none other than Captain Gates’ estranged younger sister with whom she had a falling out with back in ’98....
What’s Chuck’s dream job? It’s to work for technology guru Ted Roark, played inexplicably by Chevy Chase of all people. Quite what Chevy is doing in here, I’ve no idea, but he plays the strangely Steve Jobs-reminiscent corporate geek acceptably, even if they don’t actually give him any really funny lines to deliver. Chunk went to find Bartowski senior so that he could walk Ellie down the isle on her wedding day, although her reaction when he returns home is to shout ‘pancakes’!...
Colony Season 2 Episode 6 I ended my review of last week’s episode wishing there were twice as many episodes of Colony this season. This week, I was given a prototype of what the show would look like it if its story had to stretch past its condensed episode structure. And it works much like a latter day X-Files episode does: with a power couple, reunited after a long struggle, working against the heavy governmental forces that threaten to split them apart again....
Traditional though the Halloween episode might be, this one was had a slightly different take than we’ve seen before. Once again employing the mini-vignette device to great effect, Horror Fiction is essentially a Community spin on tales round the campfire – only it happens in the library (no one wants to let Pierce or Abed near a large fire), as mental arts practitioner Britta makes a clumsy and completely unsuccessful attempt to analyse her companions....
6.13 Emotional Consequences Of Broadcast Television A couple of weeks ago, we wondered how the remaining two episodes of Community‘s sixth season could top the third-from-last actionpalooza in episode eleven, Basic Espionage, and we were answered with last week’s Wedding Videography, which stands as the highlight of the season and perhaps one of the funniest episodes the show has ever done. But in a season that started with the goal of grounding the series’ drifting premises, we’ve nevertheless had a few reprisals of previous high concepts, particularly in the most recent paintball and documentary episodes....
Travis plays a big part in changing my allegiances in this week’s episode, “30 Minutes to Air,” through his actions in the flashback. Knowing he’s about to be captured, he conspires to paint his daughter and her mother as Corporate Congress loyalists in order to protect them. When contrasted with Dillon’s dangerous use of his daughter as a Liber8 infiltrator, albeit a willing one, it’s hard not to want to give Travis a big hug… that is, until I saw the look he gave the poor make-up lady....
1.8 Better Times Are Coming I was actually prepared to dub Better Times are Coming a mediocre episode. The same thing happened to me in episode four, which ended with Eva killing Molly. I was all prepared to say ‘Nothing much happened in this episode, they should have done something more interesting’ when bam, they drop a huge twist in the end. Clearly the Copper writers are intent on making my reviewing life difficult....

So much happened this week, and there were so many moments of genuine emotion, that it felt like we were much further along. Like, penultimate-episode-of-the-series further in. If, like me, you found yourself a little disappointed with the season opener, this episode probably fixed that. It definitely reminded me why I fell in love with this show in the first place....

1.3 Shave The Cat Raquel’s new-found powers are ignored and Sawyer’s demise is given only a cursory nod in an episode about Amy’s best friend returning from the dead. In good horror tradition, Suzanne came back wrong. Her first victim is the contents of her and Amy’s fridge, and her second is the walking haircut we met in episode one. Hoping to stave off future kills (who’s cleaning up the girls’ messes by the way?...
How do you break up with someone who has been diagnosed with cancer? That’s Larry David’s latest dilemma that opened up this seventh series of HBO’s funniest show and also signalled some of the darkest humour yet to beset the curmudgeonly comedic tour-de-force. And he was happy. By the end of series six he and Loretta Black were closer than ever and Leon and Auntie Rae were his close friends....
3.3 Modus Operandi The two of them together is one of the show’s strongest pairings, even stronger than Leo and Zo. Riario was a great antagonist for Da Vinci, and he’s an equally great partner in crime as the show’s constant collection of conspiracies-inside-conspiracies and the loose structure of just who Leonardo Da Vinci is fighting against for that moment. Riario’s seen enough of Da Vinci’s work to stay out of his way, but at the same time he functions as a grounding agent for Leo’s wilder theories....
In Saving Grace, Smiters United are pitted against Mr. Tibbs – a Grade 11 half-life (whatever that means) and an all-round nasty piece of work. Galvin has particular reason to want this demon well and truly smitten; twenty years ago, Tibbs murdered Galvin’s wife. Tibbs has recruited the Noisy Boys (the feral hoodies from Episode 1) as his hench-demons, whose main job is to be pummelled repeatedly by Luke in two extremely poorly-directed fight scenes....
It’s been a long six weeks, during which a lot of time and a much bigger wordcount than it deserves have been dedicated to this mess of a programme. And while there’s a malicious sort of satisfaction to be gained in being relentlessly mean, this reviewer was really hoping to find something nice to say about Demons this week. So, can the series finale win the Geek world over? * Luke soon identifies Galvin as the mystery figure in his dream and suspects that his mentor can no longer be trusted....
Reading this book first will, of course, spoil the endings of several other Discworld books, predominantly those featuring Tiffany Aching, but it has resonances reaching right back to the third book, Equal Rites, and forward to the fortieth, Raising Steam. But the story itself will make perfect sense and offer an enjoyable tale filled with pop culture references and people trying out new ways of thinking – and most importantly of all, it is funny as well as heart-breakingly sad....
