According to Deadline, Spider-Man star Tom Holland reteams with former Sony Pictures boss Amy Pascal through her Pascal Pictures company to star in Beneath a Scarlet Sky, based on the 2017 fact-based novel of the same name by Mark Sullivan. While still without a director or screenwriter, producers Pascal and Rachel O’Connor are doing early work on the adaptation, having just acquired the film rights to Mark Sullivan’s novel, which was just released on May 1....

The first order of fixing Jonah’s campaign is for the candidate to stop talking....

Veep Season 6 Episode 1 Selina Meyer may not be president, even though she won the popular vote, but Veep’s season 6 premiere, “Omaha,” does not damage her approval rating. It’s been a year since Congress broke the voting stalemate and in that year Selina has gotten to know herself. While she spent her time lounging in a spa, wink wink, her predecessor sold his memoirs for a $20 million advance and her successor President Laura Montez has been running through Meyer’s presidential bucket list....

Now, leading up to Voltron season 7, Lance has matured without losing the core essence of his character. He still jokes quite a bit but there’s more respect for everyone around him. Especially when it comes to Allura, he’s no longer trying to chat her up at every chance he gets. He’s respectful and puts her needs before his. Story editor Josh Hamilton also quells this idea of the writers hating Lance because he identifies with Lance personally....

Going into its second season premiere in 2005, Lost needed to finally reveal what was in the mythic “hatch” The season one finale never quite made it inside so it was widely assumed/hoped/demanded that the season two premiere would finally address the contents of the hatch. It did and the ultimate answer was pretty big. Ultimately the reveal didn’t alien most viewers and that’s because of what else was in the hatch....

And now, in the latest episode of SModcast, Smith has revealed extra details about what happened. The story of Clerks III’s demise remains the same: one of the four core cast members didn’t want to do it, which meant Smith’s hands were tied....

The sensibilities of the creator, network, and creator all seemed to line up perfectly and should have created a fascinating series. Particularly if that “leaked script” Glover leaked was real. FX, however, declined to move forward with the Deadpool series, cancelling it back in March despite originally giving it a series order. That makes some more sense then. FX, for better or worse, has always maintained an artist-friendly reputation, allowing creative showrunners to do whatever they’d like within the boundaries of budget and standards and practices....

It’s also for you if you’re totally down for Zombie-based entertainment, but find other offerings like AMC’s The Walking Dead to be fare that is just a trifle too heavy for your liking. The riotous, mission-driven scenario that the Z Nation pilot offers is fun while still being urgent in tone: Probably because a zombie apocalypse kind of makes everything seem much more urgent. Visually, the zombies aren’t a whole lot to write home about....

But Delpy proved to be much more than the sum of her influences, as the film cut straight to the heart of its central relationship – that of Delpy’s nervous thirtysomething Marion and her nebbish American beau Jack, played by Adam Goldberg – while delivering both a searing portrait of its Parisian surroundings, and a consistently well-observed meet-the-parents farce. Jack is long gone, and Marion now lives with Mingus (Chris Rock), a radio DJ, with his daughter, and her son....

Tonight’s hour 8:00 – 9:00 p.m., to me, was the biggest game changer of the season. As someone who often uses that phrase, I’m currently questioning my understanding what it takes to change the game. By merely existing, 24 redefined how to flip a narrative on its head and then twist it around until your initial instincts were proven almost baseless in compassion to where the season ends up. If 24 wanted to win over my full attention, I needed them to go all in....

Hodges and his sleazy sidekick make their way over to the White House to have a face to face with the President and make their demands. The President is starting to get quite nervy as staff start to question her (and too right as well!). And Crikey! Hodges got there fast too. At 9 minutes into the show he’s walking inside the White House. I know this season is set in the future (as there have been year gaps between narrative years, so it’s probably at least 4 or 5 years ahead of us) but the idea that they may have made transport UBER-fast might be stretching things a bit....
