World Of Warcraft S Top 15 Music Tracks

Some of WoW’s best musical tracks are heard during major story moments. Other times, they’re part of the overall ambience of raid fights or dungeon runs. A large portion of WoW’s best songs are heard while exploring its vast areas. The right musical accompaniment can turn a simple quest series into a sprawling adventure. When crafted well, the music in World of Warcraft—throughout all of the expansions—makes the game more immersive, far more enjoyable, and helps make the tamest of leveling sessions just a tad bit more legendary....

Yellowstone Live The Wondrous Volatile National Park Gets A Close Up

In a sense, you project what that experience may be like ahead of time; How it feels to look out into the distance after conquering the peaks of the Smoky Mountains; Bracing for an existential tailspin as you feel small against the vast Grand Canyon. You’ll get a varied experience at our National Parks because nature, in particular the creatures that inhabit these locales, is not inherently on display for us....

You Episode 1 Review Pilot

When aspiring writer Beck (Elizabeth Lail) comes into his bookstore one day, he immediately falls in obsession, quickly following all of her social media accounts, finding every online moment of her life, and straight-up stalking her the old-fashioned way. (Joe is a millennial hipster, y’all. He’s gonna go retro on this one, too.) You, based on a book by Caroline Kepnes, is one of those stories that finds all of its best parts in its execution....

Z Nation Season 3 Episode 7 Welcome To Murphytown Review

Z Nation Season 3 Episode 7 For a while, I’ve been a big advocate for Syfy’s Z Nation to abandon the on purpose camp and opt, instead to lean into its own bonkers mythos and feel confident in the fact that it’s doing things with the zombie genre that simply haven’t been done before. Sure the plotlines often involve mind control, super-weapons and things of that nature, but they’re means to a larger end....

11 Hard Games For Players Who Want A Real Challenge

This absolutely signifies a shift, or rather an expansion, in the demographic of gamers, from a smaller, niche group of hardcore fans to more casual players. People looking for more casual experiences probably won’t spend too many hours trying to survive one of the games on this list. Many big game companies have lowered the difficulty of their games in order to cater to as many fans as possible, those that maybe are more interested in storytelling than a hardcore challenge....

24 Season 7 Episode 13 Review

And then what happens? A gun fight that lasts about 30 seconds; abruptly bringing it all to an end. Make no mistake it was a good 30 seconds. Started by old timer Bill Buchanan, bravely setting off an explosive that claims his life as well (I told you one of the regulars was going to get bumped off about midway through! Not that anyone would have doubted it for a second)....

Abc Warriors The Third Element Review

The Third Element takes place during a time of war, a hard-fought battle in which neither side could afford to lose. Not in the comic itself, but in the editorial offices of 2000AD. You see, the then editor Andy Diggle was on a mission to return the magazine to its action-packed roots. To this end he charged the brilliant but sometimes-indulgent scriptwriter Pat Mills with producing an old-school ABC Warriors yarn, a series of mini-stories set within the same overall arc, with lots of bullets and bombs but steering away from esoteric concepts such as the khaos magick and heavy-handed political commentary which had crept into the saga over time....

Agents Of Shield The Well Review

When two very Nordic looking white supremacists find an Asgardian artifact, the Agents must race to discover the truth of the weapon and stop the Asgardian-powered villains. Once again, the antagonists are overly generic, just a bunch of angry white folk out to cause some chaos. There is no motivation beyond them being bad so the threat does not seem all-encompassing. The villains are more inconvenient than they are frightening and the show still needs to ramp up the threat factor....

Almost Human Arrhythmia Review

“Arrhythmia” opens in an overcrowded, understaffed health clinic, complete with long lines and malfunctioning equipment. A jab at the conseqences of socialized medicine? A dig at the technical problems plaguing the ACA website’s rollout? Possibly. Like most episodes of Almost Human, they never get too explicitly political with the intent, but there are some implications here. Things get hairy when a gun wielding man forces his way into an operating room demanding treatment to fend off a heart attack he seems to know is coming....

Altered Carbon What S The Price Of Immortality

In Netflix’s new sci-fi series Altered Carbon, James Purefoy plays Laurens Bancroft, a handsomely wealthy businessman who is hellbent on solving his own murder. How’s that possible? In the 25th century, humans figured out how to cheat death by downloading their consciousness on “stacks,” which can be placed into new bodies called “sleeves.” Bancroft and his wife Miriam, played by Kristin Lehman, have numerous clones and have lived for more than 300 hundred years....

Alternate Cover 10 Years Ago

Despite that, Avengers and Fantastic Four were both still top-ten books. Today, Avengers has morphed into the similar-but-different “New Avengers” series, but still hovers in the top 10. Fantastic Four, however, can usually be found way, way down the charts, outside even the top 20. So, 10 years ago, Avengers was doing big business – as it still is today. Meanwhile, the X-Men have fared slightly more poorly, dropping well out of the top 10 – although August 2008’s #500 might just get the book back up there....

American Horror Story Cult Episode 10 Review Charles Manson In Charge

7.10 Charles (Manson) In Charge It makes sense. People tend to work with other people that they know and are comfortable with, and Ryan Murphy’s creative team tends to ask a lot of actors as it is, so comfort is important. For some, this has been the biggest role they could get, so it’s not surprising to see, say, Sarah Paulson coming back time and time again for juicy leading lady parts....

American Horror Story Freak Show Pink Cupcakes Review

For the first time in the history of this show, I desperately wanted to turn AHS off. I kept asking myself, what about this show I was supposed to enjoy? All that I saw was a program trying to be scary, failing, and only succeeding at being overly weird and gross. What about that is appealing? Nothing that happened was scary. Nothing was shocking. Many moments believed themselves to be shocking, like the revelation of Dot and Bette’s not-death death, or a character like Dell being gay, but those moments were cheap, unearned, and insulting (I’ll get to that in a moment…)....

American Horror Story Freak Show Episode 12 Review Show Stoppers

4.12 Show Stoppers The freaks of Fraulein Elsa’s Cabinet of Curiosities are also out for revenge. They, like director Loni Peristere and writer Jessica Sharzer, have the backdrop of Freaks to draw on, and they use it very effectively. Stanley running through the pouring rain, freaks coming out of nowhere to brandish weapons and approach him menacingly… it’s a wonderful stolen moment from a great film, and there’s just enough of a layer of metatext by having Eve and Paul recount the story of Freaks to Stanley before they show him just how it went down....

American Horror Story Season 2 Episode 4 Review I Am Anne Frank Part 1

2.4 I Am Anne Frank (Part 1) There’s a new addition to the liar’s club that is Briarcliff this week, and she’s gleefully throwing haymakers at Sister Jude and Doctor Arden throughout the episode. Partway through the first episode of American Vandal Season 2, the St. Bernadine high school administration believes they’ve nabbed the mysterious “Turd Burglar.” Junior student Kevin McClain has a mountain of evidence working against him in the case of a series of poop-related crimes, kicked off by an incident in which the cafeteria’s lemonade supply was spiked with laxatives. More important than any of the evidence, however is the motive and St....

Archer Season 9 Review Spoiler Free

Reed’s first show, Sealab 2021, was a part of Adult Swim’s original block of programming in 2001. It ran for 52 quarter-hour episodes. His next effort was Frisky Dingo, also for Adult swim. That ran for 25 11-minute episodes. In a TV landscape where season and episode orders are shrinking, Archer has resisted the urge to call it quits. It’s not hard to see why. This is a show that’s clearly a blast to write and animate, and features one of the most talented voice acting casts on television....

Arrow Season 6 Episode 7 Review Thanksgiving

Arrow Season 6 Episode 7 This uneven effort from Arrow crams about every holiday episode trope it can into 44 minutes. Turkey puns, a head-tilting cameo, and two highly anticipated developments. Happy sweeps, folks! Ultimately, the positives like Thea’s return and seeing Oliver back in the hood were good enough to keep things moving, and holiday episodes are graded on a curve, right? Bates Motel There S No Place Like Home Review

Bates Motel Season 4 Episode 7 “For things to get better, they have to feel worse first.” Of course, most of this concern is stemming from Norman’s dear new father-in-law, Sheriff Romero. Part of what’s been so great about this season is how Pineview allows Norman to create his own narrative. Dr. Edwards is very much steering him on this journey and doing his best to put him in control of his body and mind, but all of the mental health in the world doesn’t change the fact that Norman is essentially in a vacuum....

Bates Motel Season 3 Episode 6 Review Norma Louise

3.6 Norma Louise Caleb has always been fascinating because of Bates Motel’s history of clumsy, one-note villains (still very much in effect with Bob Paris). I really hoped there would be some deeper complexity to Caleb, that he wouldn’t turn out to just be another evil man in Norma’s life. And to a degree he always will be that; there is no forgiving what he did to her. But, as tonight’s flashback showed, theirs was a complicated relationship and seeing them come together in a moment of connection that was not quite reconciliation but an acknowledgement that once there was love between them was immensely powerful....
