Lord Snow If you found it hard to keep track of the characters so far, then episode 3 of Game Of Thrones requires you to take your concentration level to the next level, as a host of potential heroes and villains are introduced. Firstly, we have Petyr ‘Littlefinger’ Baelish, the king’s treasurer and a man who keeps his loyalties close to his chest. Immediately introducing himself as an ally to Ned, Littlefinger has, as you’d expect, an ulterior motive for offering his aid....

Gotham Season 3, Episode 19 Barnes is back in full force (this time, complete with Executioner ax-hand!) in the latest episode of Gotham. But what starts as a ploy by the Court of Owl’s Kathryne, ends up backfiring big time. Barnes chops off her head, more loyal to his twisted idea of justice than to any one person. Doppel-Bruce is found out! Well, it only took three weeks and literally getting hit over the head for Alfred to figure out that he’s been living with a clone of Bruce Wayne rather than the teen he’s known since he was a boy....
It’s a daft sounding premise, but Grabbers plays it straight, and by doing so, manages to turn a potentially silly idea into something rather wonderful. It’s not that it doesn’t have a sense of humour – it’s definitely a comedy horror, and it’s frequently hilarious – but the comedy doesn’t come at the expense of its characters, or of the film’s sense of realism. Comedy is only one aspect of the film, and it’s not even the most important one: above all, this is a love story....
Homeland Season 7 Episode 1 And we thought things seemed dour when Homeland Season 6 began? Last year, Homeland started from an ambiguous place of arguable disappointment following the previous recent seasons, as well as an overall sense of detachment from reality. After all, at first glance at Elizabeth Marvel’s President-Elect Elizabeth Keane more readily resembled the by then thwarted Hillary Clinton than she did the actual President-Elect Donald J. Trump....
Not long after Morgan published Altered Carbon, the novel was optioned by producer Joel Silver, who’s producer credits include a long list of action-movie hits, including the Lethal Weapon series and The Matrix. Warner Bros. was interested in making it into a film, though with a PG-13 rating, a curious choice for a novel with intense action and mature concepts. Speaking with Den of Geek on the set of Altered Carbon, Kalogridis said she first approached Morgan with her vision: a two-hour film, keeping it as close to the book as possible with a couple of kind of caveats and a condensed timeline....
The third in this seasons Hustle had a strangely familiar feel about it, as it borrowed some of the elements from the season 5 opener New Recruits. That being the theft of a priceless object from behind an impossibly secure location. We meet the mark, Phil (played by the sixth Doctor Colin Baker), briefly in the opening scene before. During a close game of poker, he promptly drops dead. This time there is no regeneration, and Albert is left with Czech Charlie wanting the money Phil was expecting....
When In The Flesh’s creator Dominic Mitchell said he had one or two ideas up his sleeve for a second series, he was being modest. This week’s episode introduced so many plots, characters, mysteries and settings it was hard to know where to focus. What was once a contained allegorical story about grief and guilt is now a supernatural teen soap spilling over with capital ‘I’ issues: substance abuse, depression, racism, peer pressure, prostitution, PTSD, civil rights, bed-wetting… Episode two featured enough youth topics this week to fill an entire term’s PSHE curriculum....
We used our time wisely, asking about the aborted Disney-helmed Toy Story sequel from 2004, how Unkrich crafted this dark end for the trilogy, and whether he has any live-action ambitions. There certainly were concerns, just as we would enter into any new film. We want everything that we make to be great, whether it is a sequel or not. So, we applied the same rigour and attention to the two sequels as we do to any film that we make....

It began as such a normal episode for Don. The Beautiful Girls opened with the Madison Avenue lothario engaged in the kind of horizontal activity with his new love interest, Faye, that wrecks bedside lamps. Later, he enjoyed a relaxing swim (as we learned last week, swimming appears to have replaced drinking industrial-strength liquor as Don’s hobby of choice), before heading off for an extended lunch, probably in an expensive restaurant....
4.20 Farewell, Cruel World We kick off with a quick look at outside the Framework as the SHIELD B team of Yo Yo, Piper, and a bunch of red shirts whose names I can’t remember are being chased by AIDA’s Russian minions in a riveting air battle sequence that kind of takes place off screen (oh, budget). At first, it is disconcerting being out of the Framework and seeing the MCU proper, but the sequence also acts as a place setter as we prepare for what might be the final Framework adventure....

I wasn’t looking to write a novel (I didn’t think I was capable, to be honest), but it seemed a natural step to fictionalize the daily soap opera of office inboxes; so obvious that, when I’d finished it and found a publisher, I couldn’t quite believe no one had got there before me....

With an opening so self-aware of the current political climate of divisiveness, Mayans M.C. and creator Kurt Sutter are all but shouting at the viewer. 3.11 The Sorcerer’s Shadow As a viewer, you can forgive a show for cannibalizing a storyline from another season, but when an episode not only treads familiar territory in the same run, but cobbles together an episode which feels like a copy and paste of two earlier episodes of that year, you begin to wonder how the show was re-commissioned at all? Gilli (Harry Potter‘s Harry Melling) arrives for a tournament in Camelot....
