According to Variety, Lionsgate has hired Colby Day to adapt the Arthur C. Clarke Award-winning science fiction novel from Adrian Tchaikovsky. Colby has previously worked on In the Blink of an Eye, a science fiction drama intertwining three stories. It was fifth on the 2016 Blacklist of best unproduced scripts. Peter Kang and Meredith Wieck are overseeing the adaptation of Children of Time for Lionsgate. Here’s the official synopsis from Pan Macmillan: But all is not right in this new Eden. In the long years since the planet was abandoned, the work of its architects has borne disastrous fruit. The planet is not waiting for them, pristine and unoccupied.
