Sort of a fish out of water story, Bless This Mess follows a newlywed couple who give up the hustle, bustle, and expenses of New York City to live a simpler life in Nebraska. Since this is a comedy, hilarity ensues. Lake Bell (No Escape, Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later) co-stars as Shepard’s wife. Katherine Pope (New Girl) will produce alongside Shepard. Most recently, Shepard has guest-starred on NBC’s The Good Place and Fox’s Ghosted, and recently launched a podcast “Armchair Expert.” Bless This Mess is conceived as a single-camera comedy and will begin shooting in June.
