The podcast has gone on tours across the UK, New Zealand, Ireland, and Australia, and will be hitting the U.S. starting later this month, but the good news doesn’t stop there. There’s also talk of a potential TV show or film adaptation. According to Deadline, the podcast creators are entertaining offers to turn My Dad Wrote a Porno into a TV show or film. A number of the podcast’s actorly guests are already vying for roles in the potential TV show or film adaptation. Apparently, both Sheen and Middleditch want to play Dr. Robbins, a creepy Dutch character who first appears in Season 2. “We’ve had a lot of exciting conversations,” podcast creator and son of Belinda Blinked author “Rocky Flinstone,” Jamie Morton told Deadline. “A lot of people have come to us to say they love the show and we’ve had a lot of interest in lots of different ways. The thing is it could go in so many different ways, it could be a musical, films, TV shows. There’s loads of conversations going on, but we just want to make sure that whatever we do is right by Belinda.” Morton told Deadline of the adventure: The U.S. live tour of the podcast will hit eight cities (well, seven U.S. cities plus Toronto) and will run from February 22nd to March 7th. The live show includes the reading of a “lost” chapter that is so bad even Rocky didn’t want to include it in his books, audience participation for live re-enactments, and a Powerpoint presentation about the female reproductive system.
