Here’s a statement from Clive Barker’s office: And here is the full breakdown of special features on both versions of the set. Y’know, I don’t usually get excited about super-deluxe editions, and the regular “special edition” set should be quite enough to satisfy curiosity, but I’ve gotta say, that limited edition three disc version sounds pretty exciting. Then again, I’m a big fan. So much for objectivity. I am, however, a little disappointed that if you want to see the new transfer of the original cut on Blu-ray, you have to buy the limited edition version. I have no problem with studios special edition-ing stuff, especially in the case of a film like Nightbreed (or even the somewhat disappointing Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut) where we know that there’s practically another version of the movie sitting somewhere, but they’ve got to make the original easily available. It’s not a deal-breaker, but it’s annoying.
